Water Girl

There are two Water Girls really
There’s the Thoughtful Blue Head that dawns from the cup body,
The cup handles for hands and arms.  A waist.
And those sweet little flippers!

And then Number Two, the Thought Balloon
Becomes a Blue Bouffant and the wall
Is her white face. (She may be Japanese.)

Now the hands are larger
And come around her face, frame her. And
Her hands are larger, brown orange,
Two-handled cup.  The feet are dancing below

And she is singing,
The song gets sung,
“Oh! Water Girl,
She sends movement
And charm and
The mountains’ alarm --
Oh, Water Girl!
I can’t stop
Thinking
Of you
Now.”

Brown green table, two-handled orange
Brown cup, oh yes, whenever she sings
The song gets sung, this Water Girl, this
Splishing and diving and living there.
It’s all for you, Water Girl. I can’t
Stop thinking
Of you.
